Vector
Ever since the introduction of the Vector shuttles by Alpha, these
very popular small ships have been used for various jobs and missions as they
could be equipped with various weapons or external systems, machines or upgrades
and additional engines.
Each model can support 2 crew members (pilot and gunman) and has the following
dimensions (not included extra weapons or systems) : length = 21.4 metres, width
= 15.4 metres, heigth = 5 metres.

Vector MK II
The upgrades on the space fighter resulted in a new model, the Vector MK II.
The cockpit kept its typcial Vector outlook, but was slightly bigger, this was partially due to
the stronger armor but also due to the fact that the interior of the cockpit was bigger as more computers
and systems needed to be installed compared to the MK I.

The stronger plating of the cockpit allowed a launcher to be mounted below the
cockpit, capable of carrying heavier missiles than the launcher used on the MK I
fighter. Since the back hull was bigger and stronger and the fighter had
stronger wings as well, the standard equipment, next to the launcher, consisted
of 2 heavy chainguns, two pulse lasers and a small laser turret. The Vector
MK II could carry another 2 chainguns, making it even more dangerous in
close combat.
As a heavier fighter needs stronger engines, the MK II is standard equipped with
the 2 Warbird MK I
engine, currently the strongest engine available for space fighters. The MK II
is now even faster and has better maneuverabilty than its predecessor. Optionally,
the Vector MK II can be equipped with engines optimised for deep space flight, perfect
for long scouting missions. These engines lack the maneuverability of the
combat-optimised engines but are capable of reaching higher speeds and consume
less fuel. The Guard Of Xyth use such upgraded MK IIs for their scouting
missions.

Dimensions (with standard equipment) : length = 25.8 metres, width = 22.7
metres, heigth = 7,4 metres.
