Player Made Campaign Support

For now this is mostly for my campaign Rise of the Relics but anyone else who wants to use this topic to announce updates for their campaigns, etc. can.

If anyone runs into a mission that is too hard to reasonably win or finds something too broken during the campaign just post it here and I will try to make the mission easier.

Note: The missions are meant to start off relatively easy and progressively get harder.

You remind me of something i forgot to mention earlier.

This example is specific to Deep Space's Technospire campaign, but it will most likely occur in other camps.
In one of the missions, the base has 50 resist and theres a single ship in play, which, when killed, lowers owners base HP by 1. The base happens to have 1 HP. So kill the ship, and you win the mission. Problem is that in higher difficulties, the game will add base HP and sometimes (randomly) resistance/regen/etc. So at higher difficulty, when this particular ship dies, the base is left with some HP. If you have no repeating ways of boosting ship attack to get 50+ attack on a ship, you can't complete this mission.

Bottom line - test your campaign missions on various difficulties, and in case of the example above, let the ship in this do way more than 1 HP damage to the base - just in case.

I am currently stuck at the "hive" mission in Bluewing's campaign, but my deck is far from optimal. That's the first hard mission I have encountered so far, AI has a very consistent deck and starts with a very good card on play. But that's ok as long as it can be won.

I wanted to edit TS campiagn but when i want to edit it only shows me 9 of 13 levels. :p

The bug its fixed as well i know, but the campaign its bugged forever, so i might delete it and start it over again later.
With all card images ready i can focus on the RV trading center campiagn as well.

EDIT: I deleted it. I don't know if remake it since its a complexless campaign based on a complexless game. :p

That misson was part of the reason I started this thread. I found that misson hard myself so I toned it down a bit. If you can't win it, I can try to make it even easier. So far I have made the Relentless Assaults cost extra (15 energy) as well as the Spawns from the Drone Carriers and a general cost increase to compensate for the full set of energy generators.

Note: For new edits to take effect you have to start the campaign over.

P.S. If you find any spelling mistakes while you are playing please point them out as I can't catch them all. ;D :p

I am confident that I could have won it if I had bothered to try with a better deck, but it would not be an easy win, which is sort of a problem if you intend difficulty to be progressive, as this mission is not the last and is quite hard even when played in normal difficulty.

wow, you guys make really good campaigns!
I tried to, but i was overwhlemed by tons of settings and options... I don't know what to press to make effect.

I have a suggestion: I would like to see some dynamic pictures in the campaign. Like, when you finished a mission, you would see the enemy ship explode, and the sun would glitter if there's a map with a sun.

RV Trading Center Campaign is now at 72%. It maybe be released on Sunday. After that i will complete cardlist images and avatar images lists for the image collection, then win some achievements on HD:X the get to the level 7 (Lieutenant 1st grade), Finally i will make more campaigns ;D (more shorter than RV trading center).

Have you read the "help" menu in the campaign builder ? There is everything you need inside.

I am still tuning some missions a bit. But overall it is a rather challenging campaign, you will need a decent deck (not necessarly lvl 4 cards, level 1 can be enough, but you need a good ratio of ships) to beat it on easy. I will make the first mission easier though, just to be sure a newbie does not get pwnd at the first mission :p

Well, i'm not what you'd call a power player - most medium and up difficulty in HD (or any game) is often too much for me - so i might not be the best reference hehe.

My campaign went from 9,5 to 7 during the weekend... lots of new players finding it too hard or some kind of reset in the scores ? Any ways to know how many players gave it a score ?

I made it more newbie-friendly, just in case :p

The only data that's stored is the total score and the number of votes.
3 votes, 21 points, if you had 9.5 that must have been 19 points and 2 votes, so the 3rd vote is a 2. It's an anonymous system with no way for people to clarify their vote. But people can only vote if they complete a campaign - if it was too hard, i guess they'd sooner quit and load another campaign. Could be someone getting a card they already had on the final mission :p
