[HD Spectrum] versions & updates

This topic will list the latest version of the game and any changes between the various versions.

V 1.501
* small pvp improvements
* minor typo fixes in card descriptions
* fixed small visual bug
* possible bugfix for the game sometimes freezing during the AIs discard phase
* storyline mode is in and replaces the premade decks. This single player mode functions similar to premade decks with these differences : only one deck is available initially, it needs to be defeated to unlock the next deck. There are 26 decks in total, each of these preceded by a short extract of the various stories and histories behind the races in HD. Winning against a deck for the first time has a very high chance of winning a card (only commons or elites).

Beta updates V 1.502
* possible bugfix for the AI stalling when it tries to recycle structures more than once per turn.
* random AI decks should now have no chance at all of containing more than 4 copies of the same card
* ditto for ambush challenge decks
* shatter was not always dealing damage to the ship in front of its target, this should now be fixed
* Fusion Furnace was sometimes played on top of existring structures by the AI if there were no player ships in play, this should be fixed now.
* several storyline adjustments and typo fixes (thanks to Jugurtha).
* several small card changes (see below).

Note : the game will go live on the NULLL site later today. Alpha testers for now can still access the game through the alpha tester link, but this will dissapear soon. If you have bookmarked that page, it will no longer work.
The Kongregate version is planned for next saturday, the 24th.

Nebula Scout - 1/17 instead of 1/15

* updated error text players receive when they're not logged in when launching the game
* extended the game at the bottom of the screen to deal with the random ad popups
* fixed bug that caused AI ships with zero or less defense not to die when infect was played by player
* help and info texts updated

Beta updates V 1.504 (Kong & NULLL)
* radar silhouette will now properly ignore dying ships and become 1/1 again in that case
* minor pvp updates : lowered chat delay timer, chat messages are added to the combat log (seperate chatlog is still present)
* Kongregate version : updated the score submissions, also added unranked wins and challenge decks counters

HD Spectrum updates V 1.505 (both NULLL and Kong)
* some ship destruction cards were missing an explosion sound
* ancient convertors sometimes didn't explode in pvp if there wasn't enough energy for their upkeep
* minor balancing changes to asteroids and nebula challenges
* wild berserker changed to 6/20 with a cost of 1+1
* increased game creation timeout from 120 to 300 seconds
* added service channel (see the very bottom of the game). You are connected to this when you enter the multiplayer area, from then on you remain connected even in other areas of the game. Whenever you start a new game, all players connected to the service channel will be told a new pvp game is available. Being connected to the service channel is not required to start or play pvp games.

* older versions will no longer connect

note - there was a temporary problem with the sound on the NULLL version. Should be fixed again.

* bugfix black screen
* notification sounds for player joining your game or the game creation timer expiring have been updated
* chat (g or G) will now also list the things you say. Regular combat log will also list the things your opponent said.

* event points gained for winning against event decks have been changed to 1-2-3-4-6-8-11 (from easiest to hardest decks)
* event points gained for winning ranked pvp games during an event have been doubled (2x the rank of your opponent)
* exion'exus received an activated ability, allowing it to deal 2 damage to target base or ship
* artillery frigate and artillery cruiser can now also target bases with their activated ability
* decks in the vault screen should now correctly show the 2 most used colors in these decks

* cards that appear to be cast on top of each other due to lag should now no longer show the image of the previous card
* if the game can't connect to multiplayer server, the error screen at the lobby will no longer freeze
* updated some cards that had the wrong attack sounds or missing ability sounds
* fusion furnace should no longer be destroyed when it deals damage to a spark or ship with retaliation in a pvp game
* bugfix for ranked games switching types and becoming unranked
* dreadnought destroying a crystal shield should no longer cause the base to remain invincible

(also on Kong, but there it still says V 1.507 as i forgot to update the version number)

* Carrier and shipyard card popups now have some info about the ships they can launch
* Entropic link entering play should no longer trigger it's own ability
* Chain reaction's damage dealt to owner's base per ship kill is lowered to 3
* Deflector field's stats changed from 0/40 to 4/32
* HP penalty on the new structure card draw abilities will now properly damage the AI as well
* Ambush requires the caster to have at least one ship on the board
* Bugfix & changes for the drawdenial-counter mechanic. Should no longer trigger on data node activated ability
* Possible datacube fix
* Possible bugfix for Data shards having negative attack sometimes

* Lowered the amount of HP lowering on structures
* Entropic channeler's attack = the amount of entropic energy you have. The card starts off as a 0/40
* Entropic link only triggers for allied ships & structures entering play.
* AI should no longer play Ambush when it has not met the one ship requirement
* AI should be playing base repair cards sooner
* Clone should work again for the AI
* Duel should now also kill ships with zero attack
* Some anti drawdenial changes to fix bugs and allow datanode to trigger the ability again
* Fixed Entromorph's ability, the randomly gained attack/defense amount will now be able to go as high as 6

* lowered cost of dual energy structures in the store
* visual bug fix for battery
* changed unstable capacitor : generates 2 energy and increases base fusion generation by 1
* choosing random base energy will now give you 2 random energy per turn instead of one
* breaker class and deflector field now retaliate for 2
* ghost ship now costs 3 random and deals 5 damage to owner when it enters play
* when AI launches a ship from a carrier there will no longer be two entries for the same ship in the combat log
* made some changes to service channel to deal with the high number of disconnects and resets

* Typo fixes
* Updated the stats screen to show more info about spectrum and racial challenge achievements
* The ranked pvp achievement had its requirements lowered to ranks 3-6-9-12
* Nebula shard increases base HP with 10 instead of 12, Nebular Guard Tower 12 instead of 5
* Fusion furnace deals 5 damage instead of 4
* Grand technolith increases base HP with 10 instead of denying card draws
* antimatter plant : draining random energy changed to +10 base HP
* freighter drains 3 random energy when enters play
* Support Spire : removed damage penalty to base
* armored growth : instead of lowering opposing base HP, increase owners base HP
* growth spire : instead of lowering opposing base HP, increase owners base HP
* solar harvester increases base HP with 10 instead of repairing ships
* akata repair ability costs 1 instead of 2
* vulture disable ability costs 2 instead of 3
* tarogi gets extra ability : repair all allied ships for 1 each turn
* weaken costs 2 instead of 3

* note : over the course of the next few updates, a number of cards will be moved or changed in such ways that the original versions will invalidate any decks you might have that contain these cards. To give players the time to update their decks and sell the affected cards, this will happen in two stages. First, the affected cards will lose all their abilities, making them useless in combat, at the same time, the replacements for these cards will be made available. At this point it's recommended to sell these cards
In the next stage the affected cards will be removed from the game. Any decks that still have such cards in them will no longer be loaded from the database.
Affected cards (subject to change) : flak turret, shield transfer, crystal battery, crystal shield, shield phaser, shield morph, virus barrier, shield hack, data cube, shielding relic.

* adjustments made to remove everything that affected baseresist directly. From now on, only temporary base resistance effects will exist
* shielding relic becomes a base repair action
* cards marked for removal : shield hack, shield morph, shield phaser, crystal shield (structure), flak turret (HU), crystal battery, shield transfer (HU)
* added shield morph ship : 3/20, costs 3, increases base resistance by 1 while it's in play
* flak turret moved to RV
* crystal shield changed to an action
* attack barrier now provides 2 base resist while in play
* shield frigate changed : repairs base for 4 when enters play, provides 1 base resist, regens 3 for 1 energy

* technodemon change : 6/26, opposing ship gets -2/-2 when launched
* Terror mage : 12/40, cost 8+2, opposing ship gets -2/-2 when launched, acti : target ship gets -2/-2, this ship gets -1/-1.
* Thunder mage : ability does 3 damage now, deals 4 damage to opposing ship when launched
* cards marked for removal can be sold at their full price

* Targeting changed for actions, abilities and new card placements : dying targets are no longer valid targets
