No, just a frigate. About the size of a vector.

whats with the weird shape? i cant tell which part is up/front.

edit: i know what it looks like: it looks like the firewing is made of jell-o, you dropped it and stepped on it, and then you put the artillery turret's barrels on it. does that give you a better idea of what i think about the, no offense, but WEIRD shape?

On 4th Moon of Xith storyline, the Venom is the Frostbyte ship. :)

Posibility, he has the idea to put that apaereance on a ship; but in realy, is doesn't realy strange for a ship.

Abuot Frostbite name; there are a lot of characters, creatures, aliens, objects, places, etc. on sci-fi games/stories with this name. :p

In this case, Frostbyte was the name of someone i played with in a mmo a long time back. A number of people we had in our clan/guild ended up having their names used for the 4th Moon of Xyth storyline.

now you pretty much have to post them all up ;D

Why did the higher res pictures not make it onto the cards, or are those newer renders?

The card images in game appear in different sizes, the largest being 132x132 pixels, from which all smaller versions are then generated, no point in adding the 800x800 images i made for most of them. It would result in a game of 20+ MB and it would still look the same as it does now.

It's probably been asked before, but what do you use to make the card images?

It's done in two steps, first the 3D model in a 3D program, which then gets cut out and put on a space background (from nasa) and effects/post processing in a regular drawing program.

That's really helpful. I'll keep that program in mind for my own graphics needs.

A lot of people use Maya for 3d modeling.

MAYA>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Well 3D program...
I still don't understand why they don't use D3D which I use often. (You can make a model, run it, take screenshot!)

Glad to be of help ;D

I started with bryce (10 years ago?), eventually moved to wings 3D, tinkered with 3Ds max for a bit, tried blender and zbrush.
