HD3 droprates

Winning a duel can result in you gaining cards, boosts, mercenaries and tokens. The chances (and in some cases, amounts) of these various items that can be won, depend on the difficulty of the opponent and the type of duel that was played.

Single Duel & Unpredictable

Cards : the default droprate starts at 30% chance. +3% is added when in classic mode. Another 3% is added when using a cardset where one side has custom cards or 5% is added when both sides have custom cards.
If players duel an opponent whose level is higher than their own, they will receive a droprate bonus of 0.2% per level difference. If players use a generated deck (which have a difficulty level of 50), and the opponent's deck has a difficulty of more than 50, up to 10% can be added (0.1% for every level the opponent is above 50). These two values will stack.
If player level is higher than the difficulty level of the opponent, the final droprate will receive a penalty which can be as high as half the droprate.
Special case : if players are below level 5, and their opponent is level 10 or lower, players of levels 0, 1, 2, 3, or 4 will have a card droprate of 100%, 100%, 80%, 60%, 40%. On top of this, the very first win of a player, regardless of battle settings, will guarantee a card drop.

Boosts : by default, boosts have no droprate, but if the game was won, and the player did not gain a card, half of the card droprate will be used to determine if the player gets a boost instead. If the player also doesn't win a boost, half of the card droprate will be used to determine if the player receives double the regular amount of boost tokens.
Special case : if players are below level 5, and their opponent is level 10 or lower, the droprate for boosts will be zero.

Boost tokens : boost tokens are granted with every win. The default amount is randomly chosen between 1 and 5, but this amount goes up based on the difference between player level and opponent difficulty level.

Mercenaries : mercenaries can't be gained from this game mode.

Mercenary tokens : tokens are won when the mercenary in the AI's deck has been defeated, regardless of the whether the duel itself was won. By default, between 2 and 10 tokens can be won, and the minimum amount goes up by maximum 6 based on the difference between player level and opponent difficulty level. The amount of tokens won will be halved when players have lost the duel.

Tactical

Cards : if players don't yet have 4 copies of the card a certain opponent's deck is centered around, there will be 100% dropdrate for that card. Once players have 4 copies of this card, there's a flat 50% chance to win cards of the race of the opponent.

Boosts : by default, boosts have no droprate, but if the game was won, and the player did not gain a card, half of the card droprate will be used to determine if the player gets a boost instead. Boosts can thus only drop once players have 4 copies of the card their opponent's deck is centered around. If the player also doesn't win a boost, half of the card droprate will be used to determine if the player receives double the regular amount of boost tokens.

Mercenaries

Cards : regular cards can't be gained from this game mode.

Boosts : boosts can't be gained from this game mode.

Boost tokens : boost tokens are granted with every win. The default amount is randomly chosen between 1 and 5, but this amount goes up based on the difference between player level and opponent difficulty level.

Mercenaries : the chance to win a mercenary depends solely on the difficulty level of the mercenary boss. The droprate is : level * level / 22500 (this means 100% chance to win a card at level 150, 44% at level 100, 11% at level 50). For custom bosses, the droprate is halved. The minimum droprate is 1%. The mercenary card gained is always the same as the boss, but it will come with a randomly selected upgrade.
When a boss is duelled that is based on a legendary card, there's no chance to win a mercenary card.

Mercenary tokens : tokens are always won if there's no mercenary card drop. The amount gained depends on the rarity and the difficulty level of the boss. The default amounts are 30, 40, 60 and 100 for common, uncommon, elite and legendary bosses. This amount is modified with the boss level according to level * level / 22500 (thus 100% of this amount is kept at level 150, 44% at level 100, 11% at level 50). The final number of tokens gained is chosen randomly between the calculated amount and twice this amount (thus at level 150, a common boss will give between 30 and 60 tokens). The minimum amount gained is never lower than 2 tokens. Custom bosses are always treated as legendary bosses for the purpose of calculating the token drops.

Ambush (event)

The ambush event game mode comes in different submodes, which may affect what kind of reward is granted.
Ambush duels always have a guaranteed reward, whose type depends on the game mode. Regular ambush will reward a card of the same race as the AI's deck. Mercenary ambush will reward a mercenary card of the same race as the AI's deck.

Cards : the same droprate calculations as with Single Duel are in effect for duels that are no longer eligible for the guaranteed reward (in other words, players have already received the guaranteed reward in a previous duel), but at half the droprate chance.

Boosts : boosts can't be gained from this game mode.

Boost Tokens : boost tokens are granted with every win. The default amount is randomly chosen between 1 and 5, but this amount goes up based on the difference between player level and opponent difficulty level.

Mercenaries : mercenaries can't be gained from this game mode (except as single guaranteed reward from Mercenary ambush). Once a Mercenary ambush duel has been won, additional victories only have a chance of granting regular cards.

The starting ships in Mercenary ambush don't grant additional tokens.

Blueprint (event)

Blueprint duels always have a guaranteed reward : a card of the same race as the AI's deck.

Exploration

Cards : the default droprate is at 40% for both regular and gate exploration. Regular exploration battles always scale with player level, so no penalties will be applied. Gate exploration has a variable difficulty level, set by the player, and if the player's level is higher than the difficulty level of the opponent, the final droprate will receive a penalty, but won't drop below 20%.
There are also guaranteed card rewards tied to progressing through exploration, for more info, read this article on exploration mechanics.

Boost tokens : boost tokens are granted with every win. The default amount is randomly chosen between 1 and 5, but this amount goes up based on the difference between player level and opponent difficulty level.

Mercenaries : mercenaries can't be gained from this game mode.

Mercenary tokens : between 0 and 2 tokens can be won by default, but this amount goes up based on the difference between player level and opponent difficulty level. Exploration opponents will often have mercenaries in their decks, but defeating them doesn't influence the amount of tokens gained.
