V 3.00.003 (09 september 2014)

  • flagship editor overhaul :
    • Added an indicator to the bar of ability buttons to show which slots are in use.
    • The 8 ability slots can now only contain abilities of specific classes. The ability slot button bar now shows what abilities can go in which slots. These slots are : passive, passive, play, aura, auto, auto, acti, exit.
    • Each ability slot received a new scroller (instead of the ability class scroller) that allows to select the subsclass. The current subclasses are : damage, repair, defense, warfare, energy, boost, card, spawn. Ability classes that don't have entries in a certain subclass won't show that particular subclass. The ability ID scroller then only shows abilities for the selected subclass, and as such, only offers a smaller set of abilities at once.
    • A number of abilities have been removed from the list of available abilities for the flagship. These were mainly abilities that are very similar to other abilities. These abilities no longer show up in the lists of selectable abilities, making these lists smaller as well.
    • Flagships and presets on the savegame will be imported, but any abilities they might have that don't fit in the new system, will be removed.
  • Fixed the ability texts for the passive 'retaliate', which didn't take into the account the special case where this ability returns the full damage received.
  • Fixed a visual bug in the flagship editor which caused the acti cost value to be wrong in the ability panel.
  • Fixed a bug in the flagship editor which could result in presets not being saved to the temporary savegame.
  • Fixed a bug that caused the flagship to be treated as a regular card if it entered play again, after it had been destroyed. If the flagship had recover, this caused the flagship to go to deck instead of its usual spot in hand after being destroyed again.
  • It's now possible for the Recover passive ability to have a limited number of uses. Flagships can only have this ability with 1 to 3 uses.
  • When Deflector Field's play ability (return blocker to top of deck) affects a ship that already has a recover ability, the blocker will return to the location indicated by its own recover ability. If the blocker's recover has a limited number of uses, that number will go down as well.

V 3.00.002 (04 september 2014)

  • Fixed a bug that could occur when a ship or struct from hand was waiting for a target slot to be picked, and other cards in hand were being clicked, which could result in the wrong card getting played once an empty slot in play was chosen.
  • Added target, selected, and active icons on the combat screen. Cards that are waiting for a target for their ability will be marked as active. Cards that have been clicked and that can be targeted will be marked as target. Cards that have been clicked, are not active, and can't be a target, will be marked as selected.
  • Added quickplay mode to the combat screen. While holding down the ctrl key, quickplay mode is active. While this mode is active, clicking cards will activate their default operation, without showing the popup. This allows to quickly activate actions and actis or play cards from hand.
  • Added a quickplay toggle button on the combat screen. This can be clicked to make quickplay mode permanent. Holding down the ctrl key while quickplay has been activated via this button will cause quickplay to be temporarily disabled. For now this button always shows, but in a future update, this button will be invisible by default and there will be a setting that allows to make it visible or not. When the button doesn't show, quickplay is still available for as long as the ctrl key is down. This feature is aimed at more experienced HD players, hence the button won't show by default.
  • Spacebar can be used on the combat screen to end your turn. When the game is over, space bar can be used to continue to the game over screen.
  • Escape can be used on the combat screen to close most dialog boxes and card popups. It can also cancel a targetmode that's active.
  • Arrow keys can be used on the combat screen to scroll between cards and cardslots. The arrow keys function similar to the arrow buttons on the popup, but can also move between rows of cards and will select empty card slots. If a card is selected, arrow keys will start moving from that card's position. If no card is selected when an arrow key is pressed, the first available card in hand or in play will be selected.
  • The enter key can be used to open popups on selected cards, or to activate the default operation on cards whose popup is already open. Ctrl+enter will activate the default operation of selected cards without bringing up the popup first.
  • Flagship related images will no longer persist on the opening hand screen when playing a game in classic mode when previously a game in default mode had been played.
  • The side menu on the combat screen will show correct icons when visual effects, sound, or music are disabled. Note that only the music button currently has a purpose as no sound or visual effects are present yet.
  • Minor performance improvements for the game log. Note that the related setting can be safely turned off if the log affects game performance too much.
  • Shield generator acti is now back at repairing 3 HP for a cost of 1 (the previous stats were the result of a typo).
  • Fixed a freeze that occured when the AI was thinking about using the acti on rocket battery.
  • Fixed an error that caused some targetless actis and actions that affected bases or players to target the wrong base or player when used by the AI.
  • Added a temporary savefile that will store decks, flagship and flagship presets. Note that this file might be reset in any future patch if there are any updates to decks, cards, or flagships.
  • The AI will now pause when opening the card info dialog box from the card popup, just like it does for the other dialog boxes that can be opened during AI's turn.

V 3.00.001 (20 august 2014)

  • Loading screen updates :
    • Small text above the loading bar will show what is happening.
    • Non-critical prerenders for the card popup have been removed, and will happen when actually needed.
    • A few steps that happened before the loading screen showed have been moved into the loading phase. This makes the game start-up faster.
    • Boost and component images will be saved to file once they have been rendered. The first time the game is launched it will still need to render these images, but once they have been saved to file, future game launches will have much shorter loading times.
  • The 'events' entry on the main menu has been activated and leads to the output of a nebula/cloud generator. This is a work in progress. Click the top half of the screen to request a new render (this takes a few moments), or click the bottom half to exit to main menu.
  • Wyvern, Crusher, Siege Engine now have proper acti icons.
  • The android version will now generate crashlogs in certain areas of the game. Regular game logs are created as well, but the setting will be off by default for performance reasons.
  • Clicking the 'wiki' button on the detailed card info popup when the selected card was your flagship, should no longer crash the game. This button will open the entry in game manual regarding flagships. (note : wiki pages are still a work in progress)
  • Crystal plant's play ability (ship in front of self gains defense) should no longer crash the game in some cases, or target the wrong ship in other cases.
  • Crafting base boosts, of which no copies were in stock yet, should no longer crash the game when their images are about to be rendered.
  • The game title is now displayed in large font on the main menu, while the subtitle has been moved next to the version number, under the HD3 title.
  • Android : exiting the game, then relaunching it from the recent apps screen should now work properly.
  • Fixed a crash that occured when the targeting dialog box was open for the acti that allows to choose what energy type to generate, when anything but buttons were clicked.
  • Fixed a bug with dialog boxes that could generate popups (f.i. scrapyard contents and the 'choose a card dialog' from kimiko's acti). It was possible to click other cards on the board or in hand while such a card popup was active. This should now no longer be possible, and the popup will darken the entire screen to make clear that no other input is possible. Clicking anywhere on the screen will close the popup, and show the original dialog box again.
  • Android : the back button now functions as a per-screen exit, but only for those screens that have an 'exit' or 'close' button. On the main menu, the back button will exit the app. On all other screens, this button has no purpose. Certain dialog boxes can be closed with this button as well.
  • The version number and the 'notes' button on the main menu will now bring up the patchnotes for current version of the game client.
