V 3.07 - Demons

V 3.07.002 (08 may 2015)
- Changed the way the game processes the data on the settings file. This change will keep settings files from resetting whenever new settings are added to the game. Any new settings will be added the next time the game updates your settings file.
- Changed the default screensize to 800 x 500 pixels (desktops only). The game will be set to this size the very first time it is launched, or whenever the settings file is recreated or reset.
- Added a setting to control the visibility of the 'quickplay' button on the combat screen. The default is ON. Turning the button off via this setting doesn't affect the availability of quickplay, which will still be active while holding down the 'ctrl' key.
- Added a setting to control the duration of various combat animations (ability glows, card entry, attacks, hand updates). The default value is 10. At the minimum setting of 5, animations will be twice as fast, and at the maximum setting of 20, animations will be twice as slow.
- Added 4 settings that allow to control the opacity of various elements of the UI (container backgrounds and elements, label and button backgrounds, label and button borders and brackets, button glows).
- The setting that controlled the button style of the card popup has been removed from the settings file. This setting no longer had any functionality since the UI overhaul.
- Updated the way the AI calculated the strength of its opening hand. The AI will now take more energy generating abilities into account to decide whether or not to get a new opening hand.
- Fixed a bug in chain reaction that could cause it to damage the targeted ship multiple times instead of copies of that ship.
- Fixed a graphical bug that caused the stats of ships affected by abilities that lowered their defense to not update.
- Fixed a bug that caused the update delay on the flagship screen to be twice as long as the value set in the settings file.
- Energy panels can no longer toggle between stock and generation modes while a cardpopup is active. Clicking an energy panel while a cardpopup is visible will close that popup without the click affecting the energy panels.
- Minor graphics adjustments on the combat screen related to targeter labels.
- Changed the 'immobile' passive, which can now come with a value that determines how long the passive will remain on the card. Every turn, this number will be lowered by one, and the passive will be removed if this value reaches zero. If no value is present, the passive remains on the card indefinitely.
- Updated 'Arcane Voidsplitter', which now has overpower and immobile 2. The acti has been replaced by one that deals 8 damage to one target ship, but immobilizes Arcane Voidsplitter for 2 turns, and costs 6 energy.
V 3.07.001 (05 may 2015)
- Fixed a crash in the AI related to cards that generated energy on launch.
- Fixed a bug where targeting glows for bases didn't get rendered.
- Fixed a couple inaccuracies in the AI related to energy abilities.
- In unpredictable mode, players will now draw their entire deck every turn. In most cases, this doesn't change the number of cards players draw, but this change allows the use of abilities that remove cards from deck or return cards to deck.
- Updated the list of hardcoded cards that were considered invalid for unpredictable. The following cards have been removed from that list : datacide, recall gate, lost knowledge, and solar channeler. Most of these cards still have a lower than average chance of appearing.
- Updated the list of abilities that were considered invalid for unpredictable. Abilities related to cards returning to deck, or cards being scrapped from deck are now allowed, but have a low chance of appearing.
- The abilities that grant a ship attack and defense based on whether that ship's blocker has more attack or defense, have been simplified. These abilities no longer have two seperate conditions, and will grant both attack and defense if the single condition is met.
- Added the AR card set.
- Abilities from the AR card set have been added to the custom card generator.
- Custom cards that drain energy from owner or deal damage to owner when played will have lowered card costs.
- Custom cards with an upkeep cost will have lowered card costs.
- Various existing abilities have been updated to work on AR cards.
V 3.07.000 (28 april 2015)
- Minor update to the look of the background nebulae.
- Fusion Jet's ability (deal damage to target based on the amount of a certain energy type) will now work for AR and dual color actions.
- Fixed a couple inaccuracies in the AI.
- Added the RD card set.
- Abilities from the RD card set have been added to the custom card generator.
